Advanced Cancer Institute has come into existence in year 2015. Advanced Cancer Institute is a constituent college of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. This is a premier tertiary cancer care centre dedicated to comprehensive cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. Established with the vision of delivering affordable, ethical, and state-of-the-art oncology care, this institute serves the Malwa region that has been severely impacted by a growing incidence of cancer. Advanced Cancer Institute, Bathinda, is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, a skilled multidisciplinary team, and comprehensive oncology services. ACI serves patients from Punjab and neighboring states. At present, ACI Bathinda is a 100 bedded tertiary health care institute providing patient care services through various disciplines like Surgical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Anaesthesia & Critical care, Orthopedics, ENT, Pathology, Microbiology and Biochemistry, Dental, Social and Preventive Oncology etc.  This Institute is having fully equipped OTs, ICU, Surgical Wards and Day Care for IPD and OPD patients. ACI Bathinda has maintained a consistently high clinical output over the years. The institute handles approximately 200 to 250 outpatient visits per day, and conducts about 900-1000 cancer surgeries annually.  ACI is treating the Highest Volume of Cancer Care among Government Hospitals in the State. In Punjab, and across the nation, cancer diagnosis and treatment impose a devastating financial burden, often pushing poor and marginalized families into inescapable poverty. The cost of advanced therapies, specialized equipment, and long-term care at private institutions is prohibitively high, effectively making life-saving treatment inaccessible to a large segment of population. The Advanced Cancer Institute was envisioned precisely to bridge this gap. ACI is providing oncology services and high end surgeries under government welfare schemes such as Mukh Mantri Cancer Raahat Kosh, Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) etc. Through its patient-centric approach, it has emerged as a beacon of hope for thousands of cancer patients, particularly from economically weaker sections.

The Vision of ACI is to become a center of excellence in comprehensive cancer care by delivering accessible, affordable, and advanced oncology services, while promoting education, research, and cancer prevention with compassion and integrity.   The objectives of Advanced Cancer Institute, Bathinda are :-
  • Providing affordable and advanced cancer care to the underprivileged and rural population.
